absolutely amazing! I will do it again and again and again...until breast cancer is no more!! despite the blisters and the pain of walking 60 miles I can get up the next day and look forward to many more to come, when there are others that can't. that alone is enough reason for me to raise the money and walk, because there is no other option! because i want to make a difference.
and that little girl in the pink sunglasses that is my reason to walk! i love you Bean!!

Miss Emily! Wow - you so eloquently captured our journey and the reason we came, fought back against breast cancer, the cancer that has taken so many too early, the ones we love, we misss, but have faith we will see again one day, just not today. So we fight in their memory, for ourselves today, and for our daugthers for the future! What a life-changing event, I'm honored they let a schmuck like me be a part of something so great! We kicked some royal boobies this weekend, girls! Gooooooooo, Team Jigglies!

So awesome that you did this and the photos give me goosebumps. We hosted a few out of town walkers and I attended the closing ceremonies and wow, how inspirational and awe-inspiring and sad and awesome and amazing. I don't think I got any of your team but I posted some photos from the ceremony here if you want to take a peek or add to your collection. :)

I have tears running down my cheeks just reading your words Emily, and I was there!!! You are truly inspiring, and you never gave up... not once! You fought to the end of the 60 miles, and I KNOW there are so many that are so proud of you! You, and the rest of the Jigglies are truly AMAZING! Thank you for the memories, and for capturing them in such an inspiring way! We walked because we could. We fought because we could. We'll do it again because we can. We'll make a BOLD statement about this ugly disease, and because we walked... we are 3 days closer to finding that cure!! WAY TO GO JIGGLIES!! :)

Fantastic photos! I love reading about everyone's experience during The 3 Day. This year was my 5th year participating and my best friend and I drove one of the sweep vans that probably annoyed the heck out of you with the horn and cowbell. :) Love hearing that you're ready to go in 2010!!! I love your photos, i cried when i looked at them. I walked in Michigan. I don't have any personal reasons for walking except that I love being part of something bigger than myself and doing good for others. I salute all our fellow walkers and crew and thank them because together, we will make a difference. Thanks for an inspirational post.

Thank you for the great blog! I was working Pit Stop 3 this year so do not get to see the route very much. I am walking in Phoenix, AZ in November and am really excited to experience the 3 day from a walker perspective!

thank you for sharing these beautiful photos. you truly have a gift. looking through these brought tears to my eyes and reiterated why we do what we do. i walked in 2008 but will be too pregnant to walk this year. i'll be back in on the sidewalks clapping everyone along this year, and back in the sneakers next year. :) good luck to you!

AWESOME PICTURES! I am a first time walker in October in Atlanta this year - so your pictures are inspiring and makes it REAL to me! My mom and I are doing it together to celebrate her 10 year anniversary of being diagnosed with breast cancer! I can't wait!!!

Emily...congrats on walking and thanks for sharing some fantastic photos. This is my third time walking (DC, Oct 9-11) and my fourth event. I'm blessed to be able to participate and to have my life touched by so many fantastic stories of hope and courage. Great job!! I love your photos and thoughts on the experience!! I was at Pit Stop 4 in my ears and bunny tail!! I loved seeing all the walkers, especially those that were challenged by the route, but carried by their enthusiasm and shear power of the supporters! I will be back walking next year but my experience of Crewing came me even more understanding of all it takes to empower the walkers!!

I am so proud of you. I am a 6 month breast cancer survivor!!! I was on Pit stop 5 Last year and on traffic safety this year( orange shirts) Mlps, Amazing how I got to benifit from your walk. Great photos Emily. I was also a sweep van driver (M*A*S*H Your Mammaries) and it is nice to see the parts of the walk that we miss from the road. I was a walker last year. Everyone at the 3-Day rocks. Hope to see more of your photos in the future. I'm going to start looking for a striped umbrella.

Your pictures are amazing! They definitely capture this event perfectly. I'm 17 and I'll be participating in my second 3day this October, where I'll be apart of the opening/closing ceremonies holding the "grandmother" flag in honor of her 30+ years of survival.

I think we all can agree that this is a life changing event, and I'm honored to walk among so many amazing people who lay down their footsteps and say enough is enough.

Emily, this are beautiful photos that tell an amazing story for an event that is always hard for me to put into words. This was my second walk and I will continue to walk until I know my nieces, and all other girls and women, will never hear the words "you have breast cancer." I'll see you next year!

Amazing photo's - thanks for capturing. This was my 6th 3-Day event - this year as route safety. I have walked 4 times and now crewed 2 times. I'm signed up to crew again in 2010. I love seeing the walk from other people's eyes and your lens and description did it justice. Thanks for sharing!!

Your blog is amazing and does a wonderful job of capturing the 3-day experience. This was my first 3-day experience and I too walked in the Twin Cities. It was amazing and often, I struggle to relate what the experience is feels like to others. I do have a question...some of my photos did not turn out. I was using my sister's camera and apparently wasn't taking photos at times I thought I was. I was curious if you have a link to a site where friends could purchase copies of your 3-day photos? If so, I would love to have that link. I hope to put together (with help from a good friend) a slide show of sorts to share with my friends/family/donors. Thanks for any help!
