My name is Emily.

I love people in love.

I cry at every wedding.

I own a striped umbrella. Everyone should.

I love my pug. His name is Edward.

I dream of having a house with enough closet hooks for my scarves and hats.

Laughing is great.

I believe there is nothing better than a day with the people you love.

And I absolutely love to take photos.

And this is my blog. Expect to see people in love, expect to laugh and read, and expect to see what I love and why I love it! Welcome to my blog. I am glad you are here.

...greater things are still to be done in this City...

On Thursday of last week over 140 local churches gathered in the walls of Eaglebrook to learn, grow and be inspired by one another. It was AWE-SOME folks...I am telling ya to be in that room with so many leaders was sweet because you can tell they are all sold out to what they do. To change lives.

The highlight of the day was when Bill Hybels, from Willow Creek, was here for a little question and answer time with Bob. What an inspiring man....my favorite quote from him was "It's simple. I do my job because people matter!" Man do I *like* him!!!

There, of course, was great speaking and excellent music....BUUUTTT what would a conference be without some good humor and streching calisthenics during those lengthy stretches in your seat....

And then....Mr. Bill Hybels himself....
