Alright friends, I realize I have been MIA from the blogging front for awhile and I promise I have a reason for that! :) Not only was I in Chicago for a week (more to come on that later), but I ventured off to the wonderland of Southern California to meet up with some of the most stylish, rad and down-right nicest peeps in the wedding industry. Chenin Boutwell along side with the Wedding Chicks hosted, what I wholeheartedly believe, to be the best workshop on the planet. Not only were they laying all the cards on the table to answer our deepest, darkest questions, but they brought encouragement, education and tons of clarity to me! :) And for that I am sooo soo thankful! Be prepared to see some great changes from me in 2010....changes that will rock! Guaranteed! :) If any of you had been watching the news last week you have heard the sheer mess of rain that So Cal was getting......and despite my best efforts to chant to the sun gods for their golden rays to come out...it wasn't happening. It was friggin' El Nino producing tornado like winds and dumping monsoon amounts of rain on the poor state. None-the-less we rocked out a shoot with a bride and groom as soon as the clouds parted and also "OOooo'ed and awwweee'd" over the awesome reception set up that Angel Swanson poured over!
The details were *off the charts* for the reception set up! I LOOVEED this....
And another high five award goes out to these awesome vendors! :)

The news has been calling it SNOMAGEDDON 2009......but I call it awesome! I woke to a fresh 6 inch blanket of beautiful, fluffy, white snow on the ground. We are predicted to get about 497 more inches so I thought the "break" in this winter blizzard would be a perfect time to put on my snow boots and zip up that parka! I took in the quiet muffled sounds of winter and filled my lungs with that cold air! :) It was the *MOST GLORIOUS* way to start my morning...
love you miss emily! Happy Holidays!

So hold on tight folks....this is going to be a long blog post because I can't get enough of Maren and Dena....aka HEADS TWOGETHER! They are twinsies, they are spunky, fun, ULTRA creative artists that make the most amazing pins, jewlery, scren printing, purses....you name it....they make it. And typically everything they make is made from something else! HA!!! Isn't that great!??!?!
Maren and Dena not only ooze passion for making amazing little treasures but they have one of the best sister relationships I have ever seen! They are not only sisters, but friends and business partners that can whole-heartedly laugh together! :) I *sooo* admire them for that!
If you are in the need for a birthday gift, wedding gift or I-had-a-bad-day-and-need-something-sweet-for-myself gift you MUST check out their latest at either their blog or etsy store. Or if you are out and about be sure to check out their wonderfulness at the Design Collective in Uptown or The Young Blood Boutique in Atlanta, GA!!!
OH---and one last one just for the cheese factor!! awwwwwweeeeee.......

(08.18.09 @ 8:58PM)On Thursday of last week over 140 local churches gathered in the walls of Eaglebrook to learn, grow and be inspired by one another. It was AWE-SOME folks...I am telling ya to be in that room with so many leaders was sweet because you can tell they are all sold out to what they do. To change lives.
The highlight of the day was when Bill Hybels, from Willow Creek, was here for a little question and answer time with Bob. What an inspiring man....my favorite quote from him was "It's simple. I do my job because people matter!" Man do I *like* him!!!
There, of course, was great speaking and excellent music....BUUUTTT what would a conference be without some good humor and streching calisthenics during those lengthy stretches in your seat....

And then....Mr. Bill Hybels himself....
does your husband know how lucky he is? I think so...
