My name is Emily.

I love people in love.

I cry at every wedding.

I own a striped umbrella. Everyone should.

I love my pug. His name is Edward.

I dream of having a house with enough closet hooks for my scarves and hats.

Laughing is great.

I believe there is nothing better than a day with the people you love.

And I absolutely love to take photos.

And this is my blog. Expect to see people in love, expect to laugh and read, and expect to see what I love and why I love it! Welcome to my blog. I am glad you are here.

Soooo if you weren't at the Lino Lakes campus of Eaglebrook on Friday night you CERTAINLY missed out. Not only did I accomplish one of my goals in life (goal #94--to have my voice somehow on a music CD) but it was radtastic to be a part of the new LIVE recording of the next CD from EBC! The place was packed (and the Lino Lakes worship center seats about a jillion people), the music was rockin and the mood was unbelievable. People were singing at the top of their lungs and everyone had a blast.

When the CD gets released I will be sure to let you all know which track(s) you can hear my voice on! :)

Yesterday I was shown by two lovely ladies who are very well versed in princess-properness how to dance like a princess; and they even included a princess fashion show. Mia told me that we must have "fancy" music to dance to and she and Kayla were going to teach me everything that is necessary for princess dancing. I sure was amazed by how many "moves" there are.

Kayla's move quite often went like this (as she called it a pwweee-aaaaaa...I think that mean plie, pronounced plee-ayah). I think this move contains 3 parts: the crouch down, the hands in the air and the one arm flail out to the side.

And Mia loved to spin and spin and spin. I think she just liked to see her dress poof out to the sides.

The dancing was soon followed by the fashion show so that they could show me and their baby sister their princess attire. We saw everything from pink and blue boas to purple high heels and ballet shoes, and glittery crowns, butterfly wings, dazzling bracelets, fluffy tu-tus and even Mia's favorite gold sparkly dress (which you see in many pictures). I think these outfits may show up in Princess Weekly soon---just you wait :)

And then things just got silly...
princess.jpgThe rest of the day consisted of cookie baking and a tea party with all of the stuffed dogs in the house. It was a fun day and the best part is that I get to go back next week and take pictures of their baby sister because she is already 6 months old! So, stay tuned for more princesses from the Evan's house next week...

Today I opened up "Kristine's Restaurant" for dinner - Benj and Cate ate the gourmet meals of hot dogs and mandarin oranges. They got to use a glowing pen to call me, their waitress, when they needed something. BOY did that go awry too quickly. But, alas, no princess fashion shows here yet.

Oh and by the way, great images, sister!

This morning I met up with some lovely models from the good ol EBC and we shot some images to get ready for the next message series coming up in February. For those of you that aren't familliar with how amazing the teaching is at Eaglebrook please know that these guys are not only relevant, but complete rockstars! I am not going to give it all away for the next series, but let me tell you that the idea sounds amazing, the teaching will be stellar and of course the design team is going to knock it out of the park. We laughed, posed and had a good ol' time before brunch. Here is a glimpse....

EBC-vintage-tee.jpgI can't wait to see how all of the imagery unfolds.

3DAY_Networking_Logo_Walker.jpg
So every year, about this time, I start to hear and see these emotional commercials for the Breast Cancer 3 Day walk. You know the ones I am talking about that are usually overloaded with the color pink and have some emotional music playing behind someone's touching story that they are sharing about how they or a loved one has survived cancer. Or my favorite one is when this lady (about my age) is sharing about how she never got  say in whether her Mom had to fight breast cancer and now she has had her "say" in walking in the event (sniffle...... sniffle.... are ya with me?)

Well, this year we decided that we are going to walk in the event and raise bunches of money so that hopefully the little girls of the next generation don't have to be threatened by breast cancer. There are 5 of us that are braving the 3 days and 60 wondrous miles of walking so that we can be "one day closer to finding a cure."

BUTTT...here's the rub. We NEED to come up with one of the best names for our team. Usually these names revolve around the cause of the event (eaaaahhhhemmm....boobs or breasts if you will). Any good ideas out there for us?

Any funny, witty or comical people out there that want to contribute to our breast cancer team name???

My ears are open...........

You could borrow my Bikers for Boobies t-shirts or you could be Babes for Boobs; you know...maybe that isn't a good one. Keep me posted; how do I donate for you?
