My name is Emily.

I love people in love.

I cry at every wedding.

I own a striped umbrella. Everyone should.

I love my pug. His name is Edward.

I dream of having a house with enough closet hooks for my scarves and hats.

Laughing is great.

I believe there is nothing better than a day with the people you love.

And I absolutely love to take photos.

And this is my blog. Expect to see people in love, expect to laugh and read, and expect to see what I love and why I love it! Welcome to my blog. I am glad you are here.

On Saturday morning I woke up bright and early to spend some quality time with a little man that I sure hold dearly to my heart, Mr. Peyton. He was born one year ago on Good Friday and he is about a week away from his first celebration (and opening some darn good little-boy presents). His Mommy, daddy and I headed out to some good morning light in a nearby field and enjoyed every moment of it. Peyton's blue eyes, inquisitive look at the camera and easy-going nature make this little boy a DREAM to take photos of! I am tellin ya, as he gets older those big baby blue's are going to get him in trouble with the ladies.....(but I think Mom might already know that :)

I *heart* this family photo!
Peyton-one-year-055.jpgHe already looks like such an "old boy" since I last saw him at 6 months so I am eager to see his grown in this next year! Happy Birthday Mr. Peyton....I hope you get many trucks, trains and puppies at your birthday party! :)

......or should I say Ms. Helby and Ms. Hadie!!! Sadie doesn't say her "s" for her or her sisters name so all afternoon I was hearing "Momma....can I hold Helby??? Mommmmm, can I hold Helby???" I was stinkin cute.

Shelby turned 3 months old a few weeks ago when I got to go visit and Sadie is on the brink of turning 3 years old and is the best big sister that Shelby can ask for. They both looove the camera, which makes my job easy, and are way fun to play with.

Sadie was beaming for the camera...I am tellin' ya...she LOVED it! :)
Shelby-3-months-002.jpg Shelby-3-months-023.jpg
I told you that Shelby was a peanut....she is BEAUTIFUL and full of smiles!
Shelby-3-months-027.jpg Shelby-3-months-031.jpg Shelby-3-months-034.jpg
She was Ms. giggle pants for quite some time while we were playing together! Ohhh soooo darn cute!
Shelby-3-months-042.jpg Shelby-3-months-048.jpg
And then Sadie and I got a little silly and started jumping on the bed together. It was a BLAST!
I couldn't get over how many cute little rolls that Shelby had.....I mean....look at them. Don't you just want to cuddle her, hold her and give her kisses....well I did! :)
Shelby-3-months-051.jpg Shelby-3-months-054.jpg
And don't you just LOVE Sadie's eyes in this one???

We were searching for butterflies outside...and of course in the dead of winter in Wisconsin...no butterflies in sight. Maybe next time........

I can't wait to spend time with these little ladies this summer! :)

On Saturday I showed up at the Erickson's home looking to find Samuel and Micaiah but instead I was greeted by 2 cowboys and their horses (and some robots too....but they really only participated for a short time! :) I was given horse roping lessons, finding and shooting a bear lessons and of course how to tie up your horse so it doesn't run away lessons. And their little sister, Gracie, even got to sit on a horse for a few seconds before she was booted off so the horse could go find the next mean man.

We had so much fun and I didn't realize how fast time can fly when you are roaming around the house on your horse trying to find the "bad man" and the "mean bear"! Whew....I think we did catch both of them though (although I am not quite sure because the "shooting" was still going on while I was leaving)...

Erickson-Feb-09-004.jpg Erickson-Feb-09-012.jpg
And Micaiah had to find the PERFECT spot for his gun....tucked into his pants of course! :)
Erickson-Feb-09-005.jpg Erickson-Feb-09-001.jpg Erickson-Feb-09-007.jpg
And Gracie did get a chance on the horse for just a few seconds before she was booted off by her big brothers...

The face that Samuel is making is sooo funny to me...this one may be my fave from the day!

Thanks for the cowboy lessons boys!

Thanks for spending some time catching the kids in action...they spend time almost everyday in their cowboy get-ups and are always ready to catch a bear. You do an incredible job capturing the moments that we will always be able to cherish. We love you!

Caz, as Mommy and Daddy call him, is just 10 days old and ohhh sooo tiny. He has dark dark hair and dark beautiful blue eyes and he certaninly knows how to flirt with the ladies already....well....maybe just me :)

He was born last Saturday and already has Daddy wrapped around his little finger; by the time I left on Tuesday night they were both sleeping soundly in the rocking chair. Mommy was happy that she was able to take a load off for a few minutes while they cuddled!

He was pretty happy to get his photos taken although no smiles yet. He even zonked out for a few minutes so that we were able to get some sleepy pictures too...

This basket just cracks me up! I had to use it!!!

You may remember an emotional story that I told on my blog about a little girl named Addison and her new adoptive parents Cindy and Jesse! Well, a whole year has gone by and Addison is already one years old! I spent some time with Addy and her favorite little teddy bear (Mr. Bear) on Saturday while we dressed up and played with some old strings of pearls and some of Mommy's shoes.

I arrived to see that not only was Addison walking but she was BEAUTIFUL (and don't you just loooooover her curly hair?)
Addison-one-year-003.jpg Addison-one-year-004.jpg Addison-one-year-005.jpg
And then.....the tutu comes out! She L.O.V.E.D it......
Addison-one-year-008.jpg Addison-one-year-011.jpg Addison-one-year-024.jpg Addison-one-year-039.jpg
I told you she was BEAUTIFUL!
Addison-one-year-041.jpg Addison-one-year-046.jpg
And these next 2 are my faves from the day...

ANNNNDDD off we go outside. She was completely mesmerized by the snow and wasn't quite sure what to think of it :)

As promised, you do get to enjoy some more fun from the Evans household; I went over there on Tuesday to snap some photos of Lela, who is already 6 months old! We had a ton of fun playing, dancing and trying to get Lela to smile. As you can see her sisters ABSOLUTELY ADORE her and once she grows up to be able to play dress-up-princess with her sisters they will be thrilled! Mia is counting the days until she can show Lela how to color all of her favorite princesses and Kayla just wants her to walk so that she can teach her princess dancing....little does Lela know that she has many days of learning ahead of her! :)

We started off the morning with all 3 girls in their pink chairs (appropriately labeled for each girl of course!)
Evans-Feb-2009-001.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-006.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-009.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-010.jpg
And as you can see from some of Lela's faces, older sisters can be pretty overwhelming if you are a little girl. I don't think that she can open up her beautiful blue eyes any wider to give us adults the hint of "um....get me out of here before I cry.....because I am getting smushed and squished and I don't know what is going on.........."
Evans-Feb-2009-013.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-015.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-024.jpg
Annnnnddd then out came the tutu's---each girl had one! It was amazing!
Evans-Feb-2009-030.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-032.jpg
And then Daddy started with the tickles!
Evans-Feb-2009-034.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-045.jpg
This one is by far my fave from the day! Isn't her expressions just hilarious???
Evans-Feb-2009-046.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-050.jpg
And Lela had to show off her grumpy face (although still pretty darn cute for being mad)!
Evans-Feb-2009-052.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-058.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-067.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-073.jpg Evans-Feb-2009-075.jpg
I love you the Evans family! I hope you all grow up to be real princesses! :)
